Sorry to be THAT guy... Mobo/Chipset query

Hi.

So I'm about to build an i3 system... I've been recommended the i3-2100 by my brother. I was going to mirror his system spec, but he doesn't use his for music and from past experience I've learned that the mobo chipset is very important for a DAW!

I've tried researching, but there seems to be no definitive guide as to what works and what doesn't.

Could anyone please recommend me a motherboard that will also host an IDE port for my old drives and at least 1, ideally 2 PCI slots for my FireWire card for around £60 or so?
