I still feel sorry for the Majors!

At least when they were up and running they're artists had a bit of clout behind them.

Yes.. they brought it all on themselves by either ignoring or mishandling the medium change but still it's sad to see them go.

Record stores too. Even in the US I used to love going to New York, that was until they closed 'Tower Records' & 'Virgin' in Times Square. It was kinda special to go in and hear some of the latest new bands that were not yet known in the UK.

Are Virgin record stores still alive and well in the UK? I know they have one in the 'Mall of the Emirates' in Dubai.
