I'm trying to record multiple instruments/voices through different pre amps to my MOTU 828mkII inputs:
1. One Focusrite Liquid Channel - AES output which I can connect to the SPDIF input, using a converted cable.
2. One Focusrite Voicemaster Pro - Balanced analogue output, connected to balanced analogue line input. And
3. Eight Focusrite OctoPre le - ADAT output, connected to ADAT in.
Recording from any of these sources individually and setting my MAC's Audio/Midi Clock Source to either:
1. SPDIF
2. Internal
3. ADAT Optical
...gives me perfect results - However, trying to record them all using ANY of these sources won't give me recordings without digital spikes.
So, what do I do?
I feel that the secret is hidden in Wordclock; I have connected the two digital units to the 828 using Wordclock but I can't get it working. This is beating me!!!!
Thanks
Rob
