Thank you for responding. The box you suggest is about $650, I could probably afford it, but I don't need the comprehensive I/O. I really only need stereo balanced in, and headphone out. The Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 would be great for $300, but does it have ALSA drivers? Probably too soon to tell?
