Are you all drummers?
I was expecting something more deliberate and pronounced from all of those! Instead they sound very normal to me!
Clearly I've got a long way to go as a musician!
Me too! all seem standard 4 on the floor, typical rock pattern, snare accent on 2nd and 4th, but I am no rhythmist anyway. One of the examples, the TV theme, seems 2/4 time going to 4/4 when it gets going, but is that a radical rhythm change?
I have heard some rhythms I caan't seem to fathom in Brazilian music and some of that other Latin/African stuff where they seem to come in on an offbeat, or where for example the lyric accent is on the 1st beat then there's a whack on the drums on the second, sort of gives it a syncopated feel and thern there's old folk style music from whatever bygone age that seems a bit eccentric rhythm-wise, giving it a sort of gallopy feel
