When you say split before the drummer's mixer do you mean:

Splitter from the Mac output / left split to drummers mixer (where he can have his headphones plugged in and individual level control) / right split to the PA/FOH for the sound guy to control the samples for onstage monitors ?

I hope this is what you mean otherwise apologies in advance!
