A few years ago, I brought a guitar back from a rehearsal room, which was in an old disused mill. I noticed these little white creatures crawling in the guitar case so I put it in a plastic bag and left it in the freezer for a day. But I think it was too late by then. I've noticed them in my flat, and sometimes there are little infestations around warm places (TV, lamps, etc). I've seen them on my laptop screen, usually in the corners. I think they keep warm near the CPU.
Does anyone know what they are? They look like tiny crustaceans, barely visible. Someone suggested putting my laptop in a plastic bag with some mothballs, but I can't stand the smell of them and don't want to be one of those people who always smell of mothballs. So if that wouldn't work, I'd rather not try it.
I realise this is more of an pesticide question, but I can't find much info. So I'm guessing, since they seem to like gear and damp rehearsal rooms, others might have experienced this problem.
Thanks
