We have to record a series of lectures by a number of different speakers. We will provide speakers to cover the audience (150 but sharing a hall with a relaxed gym type physical activity) and a monitor for the speaker to hear questions from the floor courtesy of radio mics on fishpoles.
My questions: How do x2 mics commonly used for a speaker cope with the 3:1 rule? A colleague suggested a live audience may not notice a small amount of phasing but a recording may sound a bit worse.
not the most beautifully composed questions but any thoughts appreciated
