Bought an SE Electronics Titan from DV a couple of years ago and it's been great. Sounds nice on vocals, a lot less harsh than my B1 and takes EQ much better. So it's pretty much my main vocal mic. However I took it to a practice the other day at a band members house to track some guide vocals, plugged it in, *pppffffffffffffffffffffffffffPFFFpFFfffff*. Sounded like there was a load of wind or something, but there wasn't. Still there.

Tried different pre, different cable, original pre and cable with different mic and all shows it's the mic that's the problem.

Recorded straight into logic, and added 10db of gain to take it just below clipping so people can hear it on laptop speakers and such. Mono WAV download or the soundcloud mp3 conversion, if anyone could listen and give me a possible diagnosis I'd be very grateful. I'm gutted!

*I'll add it sounds like handling noise at times but this is it on a stand in it's shockmount in a room with no windows and the door shut.
