Apparently bamboo is the next wonder material (no, seriously).

The BBC says: bamboo article

The article caught my eye because I was marveling at the hardness and light weight of a new bamboo chopping board in my kitchen (it was that sort of day). I have also seen ads for high-end cycles made of bamboo. According to a google search, people have tried using it for guitars.

Has anyone tried a bamboo guitar ? Has anyone made one ? And if so, what are your opinions of the material ?
