Studio floor treatment

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I can't find it...

I have nearly finished building a dedicated recording studio building, floor area 30 sq M.

It will be used for practice & recording of various music, classical, rock & folk.

What are peoples opinions on floor coverings? Laminate floor or carpet? It's a plasterboard finish with a pitched roof (small control room + main studio) & sounds quite 'live' atm, although not fitted out yet.

Any opinions greatfully received!
