micpres VS +24dbu on a Lynx Aurora16-VT (quality wise)

Hello every body

Since the +24dbu is a big gain that is available on Lynx Aurora16-VT interfaces, I'm really eager to know if it is a better idea to add this gain and subtract some gain on mic pres? I have an Auorora8 and an SSL X-Rack and use its dedicated mic pres that are very quality. Do you think an upgrade to Aurora16-VT is reasonable due to what I mentioned?
