Though made in China has meant cheap, low quality and poor training in the past, that is
really changing. With Behringer having their own building in China, having a lot of
control on training, treating people with a comfortable work place and not having child
labor, things are looking up. SE Electronics is another company making some good products
in China. With all that being said, Behringer has always went to the high school kids
budget when offering equipment. I am very encouraged by this new mixer, and I would like
to see Behringer continue to move from best cheapest stuff out there to at least a
offering a group of mid level components out there. this is what I would want to say to
Behringer. You make some stomp boxes, but how about making them a little more sturdy amd
reliable.
This X32 is clearly better than the Presonus live mixers in some
ways. I am not sure how the mic pre's, converters , and effects compare, but the work flow
and size of the mixer is nicer on the Behringer. Yamaha clearly makes higher end digital
mixers, but for live applications I would be curious to hear how much of a difference
there is in sound. With a pro band where quality in pre's, and converters are important,
Yamaha may be a better option, but for churches and clubs, the X32 may just be just the
ticket.
