For my own stuff, I do what I like, including re-releasing a 1994 album that has no compression of any kind used anywhere in the recording process .(I...uh...didn't own one, and didn't care) It still turns up in 'best ambient album' lists, and I'm still selling quite a few copies, over ten years later.
(It's also an AMBIENT album, for crying out loud. F****** Djs, they can't even find the volume knob.)

I have both of your AFD albums and the EP, but I absolutely LURVE your 'Life Before Land' album (I've got both the older version and the re-mastered one, and play it all the time. I had no idea I'd been conversing with a master
