Thing is if the +12v was not there there is no way that you would ever get into Windows, because without +12 volt the hard drive motor would have no power

Could be the sensor on the board, could be the program... if you go into the BIOS and have a look in the Health section it should give you a read out of the voltages, if the +12 is there then chances are its the proggie in Windows that is dealing in pies

Dealing with old PCs is a pain for sure, chances are you are never dealing with one problem, so working your way through what is going on is like treading on eggs... and ever is the call... when will it be ready
