Hi - I've still got an old SW1000XG kicking around. Unfortunately I can't make it to work
reliably with my current PC (think it has to do with voltage of the PCI or something),
getting BSODs etc. So, instead I was wondering if there's any way to make the SW1000XG
operate in a standalone kind of way. You used to have these Kenton plugstation things that
(I believe) had that capability. However, I haven't seen these listed 2nd hand anywhere...
Also, I was hoping for a low cost solution. Any alternatives (aside from building a
mini-PC or something)?
Oh, and I know most current VSTi's are so much better in
sound quality blablabla...but I still sometimes miss my old XG sounds (and I actually
really liked the effects too!)
