Getting these Guitar sounds - Michael Jackson's Scream

Hi guys,

Could anyone shed some light on the guitar sounds of this track Thanks Scream at :
3:18 sec - 3:27 sec
3:28 sec - 3:36 sec

The first chunky sounds like it has a detuned/processed feel to it but also sounds like its from a real(not sampled) guitar

The second guitar, which has a really nice spacious sound with a lot of depth, sounds like a clean guitar with a very heavy reverb. Maybe a telecaster? Very pucky sound.

I think it could be Steve Stevens (Billy idols guitarist)
