I'm wondering if a 1TB hard drive will be much quieter and less demanding than two 500GB drives.
I've got a 1TB external drive for backups, but my girlfriend uses sampled instruments, which require lots of space for the libraries. And she keeps adding new libraries, so I want plenty space.
Do two drives work more efficiently for this?
I'm thinking about the 'Western Digital Caviar Black':
Type: HDD
Interface: SATA
Dual processor
32 MB cache
Speed: 7200
Size: 1024
Form: 3.5IN
PowerReq: 15
5-year limited warranty
£64.96 inc VAT
Or is there any obviously better choices?
Thanks.
