Since I have installed the PMC IB1's, my Dynaudio Acoustics BM6P have become my grot boxes, lol. Well not really the BM6 has been a familiar aquaintance through most of my engineering career so they are very useful to me.

I think this practice is usually undertaken when you already have good monitoring available.
