I've never played abroad before and therefore have never considered taken an instrument on a flight for one thing.
I've been looking at weighted key'ed instrument options considering it will need to be flightcased. Seems to me the lightest is the Casio Previa PX130. I know this is hardly the final word in stage pianos but I am sure it will suffice. Has anybody got any other thoughts?
I appreciate there is a company in the US that have made a folding weighted master keyboard but it appears to be very very expensive!
I appreciate I will need to contact the airline (once I know which company) but economically I was wondering whether I should just buy the instrument in the US? Is there a tax on bringing it back in the UK?
Also, is there any likely issues with the length rather than the weight of such an instrument on a flight does anybody know?
Thanks in advance for any help/thoughts in these matters and questions...
Regards
