Thank you to all who responded. I have been a musician for many years, but I am new to
recording techniques. I am studying quite a bit, however, and need to venture into the
practical reality of actually recording! So, all the info is useful and very much
appreciated. As it happens, for logistical and practical reasons the Bach Suite performed
on the viola (me) will be done in dead room - my studio. When I purchased the Royer, one
of the Royer staff with whom I spoke before making the purchase actually suggested a dead
room, or something close to it. I have only practiced with the Royer and have been blown
away by the sound. Lastly, the last post mentioned an S Gordon who's music he heard. It
wasn't me. Thanks again to all. SG.
