No new drivers for Yamaha GO46

I purchased a Yamaha Mobile Audio Interface GO46 with firewire several years ago and the unit is still working well. However, after the company discontinued the model, I can no longer find driver updates for any Windows OS newer than Vista. That means I am stuck runnning the device on an old computer. My questions: 1) Shouldn't a company continue to offer driver updates on a model it discontinued only a few years ago? 2) Does anyone have any advice on how to run something like this on a newer Windows OS? This is a parallel recording system, and I have an Apogee Ensemble running on a Mac OS as well, but I don't want to toss a great device simply because it demands an outdated computer to run on.
