The subs boast a 1000w power amp but i jave been told they just have a 500w rms driver installed. despite the max spl rating being 130db the small 12" driver just doesnt move enough air. Ironically the 705 sub (700w but same 130db) is "louder" and makes your trouser bottoms flap due to its 15" driver. only 5 kg heavier.

Hiss - yes there is a hiss from the high frequency driver but its no louder than mackie's, alto's etc etc. You only hear it when there is no music playing and you are stood very close.

Never did an A/B with the 722 but i can only imagine it would have been slightly better.
