Mackie MCU in Logic X

Postby Matthew Seed » Sat Jan 11, 2014 1:54 pm

Hi guys i have just updates to logic orX from 9 and for the life of me i can't get my Mackie MCU and 2 sub controllers to work again as before. Nothing about my rig has changed and they have been fine for years so i'm guess its something to do with my upgrade to logic pro and at the same time i went from Lion to Mountain Lion. I have all the latest drivers for everything and i checked and my Mackie's firm ware seems to be up to date too.

I read up before posting and some guys say select your controllers in the 'surface pref' delete them and let logic auto detect them again. I can't seem to even delete them…i click on one, select delete from a right click and it just stays there, even when they are switched off.

Its driving me bonkers and any help would be VERY much appreciated.

Matthew

I'm having a lot of issues with LPX and my MCU, Expander and C4 - but this could be because I'm swapping between LP9 and X.

Mostly, when I load LPX I have to delete and rescan the controllers - and sometimes delete preferences and rebuild defaults.

However I can delete them from the controller setup window by just selecting and pressing the delete key on the Mac or by right - clicking on the icon.

Have you tried deleting in LP9 (if you have it) first?

Regards

Thanks for inputting Stephen. This drove me mad for hours and hours last night. For some reason in Logic X i can not delete a Mackie controller……i click the delete button and it just sits there still even with them switched off….MAD !!!

I have finally figured out a solution which was to reload Logic 9 open up controller pref in there and delete them in there. Then re open logic X and they were gone. All very odd and not a greta solution if it happens again down the line for any reason.
