Has anyone had a chance too look at this page and the document on it?

Ive read some of it - looks like things are finally moving in the right direction...

I'm now waiting for my 1TB iPod Touch/iPhone to become available.

This wouldnt be as good as using Apple Lossless files though surely?

Depends on your definition of good!

Good as in best quality -- lossless is obviously the best option.

Good as in lowest data rate and least space requirement for acceptable quality, the world of lossy codecs is your oyster!

Probably more important the iTunes user turns off the auto volume levelling and enhancers.
