A soft-synth demo

Postby Folderol » Sun Mar 26, 2017 10:05 pm

I don't think I've mentioned this before (apologies if I have) but some time ago one of our users produced a rather fine demo of Yoshimi. He's a much better musician that I am, which rather makes a difference!
It's quite long, but do have a listen. You can find it here.

Thanks Martin.
Lorenzo said he wanted to use my patches, which I took as a great compliment. However, I was blown away by what he actually did with them! The way he used the strings patch at the end was inspired.

I'm impressed, I am sort of locked into Windows, mainly due to hardware (UAD/Yamaha etc) I've bought, but sometimes really feel inclined to give LINUX a revisit.

Although not an option for everyone, I know of one person who got a small machine and installed a stripped down debian for just running Yoshimi, which then talks to the rest of his Windows system via USB (MIDI and audio).

We have an older demo of Yoshimi being setup and run entirely by MIDI commands. It's here
