Amiga 500 / Commodore 64 Text to Speech Synthesis... HELP PLEASE?!

Postby nzdj » Wed Mar 03, 2010 8:51 am

I am trying to achieve the classic Amiga / Commodore Narrator text to speech style voice.

My question is - Is this achievable without having an actual Amiga? Is there an emulator or modulation software out there?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

'sayit' by analogx (but I think it is pc only)

And another one:

Not totally atari-like but...

If your taking about the classic early 90s speech sounds mate they were predominantly made on an Atari ST on software called ST Speech.

Most techno acts used them for this purpose at some point.

Don't forget the mighty Speak&Spell, this is what LFO used on LFO along with a load of others. Hollow sun had years ago a awesome speak&spell sample free download but it's sadly gone and I lost mine.
Also the first Waldorf Microwave could do basic speech synthesis...very cool
