UK launch for portable Hammond B3 organ

Hammond Organ UK have announced the inaugural date of their ‘Meet The B Session’ UK tour, at John Henry’s studios in London on Saturday May the 8th.
The event will give attendees a chance to get a hands-on look at the complete Hammond Pro range, including the Hammond’s New B3, reviewed in SOS July 2003 (www.soundonsound.com/sos/jul03/articles/hammondb3.asp), the brand-new Portable B3 (pictured here) and the new Leslie 21 portable rotary-speaker system, which is currently being reviewed for a future issue of SOS.
The Portable B3 has exactly the same feature set as the New B3, but features a folding metal frame and handles to make moving it to and from gigs a little easier, and although at 79kg it’s not exactly light-weight, it’s a considerable improvement on the B3’s 132kg! Visitors will also be able to attend Hammond players’ clinics from top pros.
