Berlin-based Native Instruments are calling Rise & Hit the first instrument designed uniquely for expressive build-ups. Their new instrument comprises over 8GB of samples covering a wide variety of sources. There are samples from a 66-piece orchestra, scratched cymbals, orchestral percussion, mangled field recordings, and all manner swooshes and sound effects. In total, there are over 700 single-layer and 250 multi-layer sounds available.
Sounds can be time stretched wildly without losing quality, claim NI, thanks to multiple sample lengths. Rise & Hit is also designed to help you find the sound you’re looking for quickly, then provide the tools to layer, edit and process quickly. The built-in effects include reverb, delay, 26 custom filters, and 29 spatial, dynamic and distortion effects. All parameters can also be automated using the internal modulation engine for extra flexibility.
