The line-up has been announced for the latest in our ongoing series of Sound On Sound Presents events. Taking place on Wednesday the 20th of April at the Soho Hotel Screening Room in central London, the evening will see three experienced and engaging professionals at the very top of their field trade opinion and insight in an intimate setting.
Presented exclusively in association with Focusrite, the event will feature producer Jake Gosling, mix engineer David Wrench and mastering engineer Mandy Parnell. These days, Gosling is best known for his chart-topping work producing Ed Sheeran, but his diverse CV before and since ranges from pop (One Direction, Paloma Faith) to rock (The Libertines) to urban (Wiley).
David Wrench has won widespread acclaim for his work mixing the likes of Caribou, FKA Twigs and Jungle, and he brings a unique perspective to the art of bringing remarkable tracks together.
Mandy Parnell, meanwhile, is one of the best-known mastering engineers in the UK. A Grammy winner, she has mastered records for countless artists including Björk, Aphex Twin and Jamie XX. Our March issue video, which features Mandy explaining the mastering process, is available to watch on the Sound On Sound YouTube channel, and you can also find interviews with all three special guests on our website.
Places at this exclusive event are filling up fast, so make sure you don’t miss out. Tickets cost £17 (£14.50 for students) and are available to purchase online via the Sound On Sound Presents webpage.
