All jokes aside, Audio Ease have released an interesting selection of outdoor impulse responses for their Altiverb reverb plug-in, with available environments ranging from forests to alleyways to business parks, all downloadable for free by registered Altiverb 6 users.
The Audio Ease web site also hosts a huge number of custom-recorded impulse responses, including aeroplane cockpits, Maltese caves, domestic bathrooms, and the ambience of the rather unsettling ‘Cistern’, a two-million-gallon underground water tank. These extra presets could be very useful for film and television post-production, creative sound design and musical uses. and can be downloaded from the ‘Impulse Responses’ section of the Audio Ease web site.
