Microphone manufacturers MXL have produced a wide range of products, many of which have been praised in the pages of SOS for providing extremely good value for money. The full range is now available in the UK via Musictrack distribution, from the £79 MXL990 condenser microphone to the top-of-the-range £599 Genesis tube-mic, which includes a hand selected NOS (new old-stock) Mullard 12AT7 valve and is wired with high-end Mogami cable.
