New Motown & 80s inspired releases from Analogue Drums
Bundle package and two re-releases have also been added to the range
Analogue Drums have added to their current range of drum sample libraries with the release of two new Kontakt-based kits, a bundle package, and two re-releases. We previously reviewed three of their sample libraries, Rockstock, Popsticks and Splitsticks, in July of last year (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jul11/articles/analogue-drums.htm) and were very impressed with both the sound quality on offer and their reasonable price.
Monotown is their new Motown and R'n'B inspired library that looks to be suitable for old school funk, soul, rhythm and blues, while Gorilla's inspiration lies with the distinctive gated room sound of the 80s, a la Phil Collins.
They have also re-released two of their original kits; Kingpin and Plastique, which have been reprocessed for cleaner samples and remapped for V-Drum support also. This update is free for existing owners, and any new purchases will get the update automatically.
The Tape Series Two Bundle, consisting of the four aforementioned drum kit libraries, is also now available at a bundle price of $199, while owners of Plastique or Kingpin pay $99 (or $79 for owners of both kits).
