NAMM 2013: New products from Universal Audio

API EQs, updated LA-2A, Softube Amp Room and Multi-Unit Apollo support

550 and 560 EQs added to UAD line-upAPI 500 series plug-ins for UADUniversal Audio have been at it again and have unveiled some new goodies.

On the plug-in front, there's the new API- endorsed 560 Graphic EQ and 550A EQ plugins for UAD, an updated LA-2A plug-in collection comprising three different models and new Amp Room software brought to the UAD and Apollo platforms by Softube.

Where hardware is concerned, UA have made a useful upgrade to their Apollo interface system by adding support for multi-unit cascading via Thunderbolt or Firewire. This means that more than one unit can be used simultaneously to harness greater processing power and provide more inputs while only using one port on your computer.
