Softube Console 1 hybrid hardware/software mixing toolSoftube Console 1 hybrid hardware/software mixing toolAs previously announced, the Softube Console 1 will go on sale around the world today. Included in the purchase price of the interesting hardware/software mixer is Softube's new model of the Solid State Logic SL 4000 E console.

The Console 1, which we checked out back at Musikmesse last year (http://sosm.ag/1eTzyjA), is a new approach to music mixing on a computer. It lets the user mix using the modeled Solid State Logic SL 4000 E console, and also adds the intuitive workflow of mixing with physical knobs and buttons from the dedicated hardware. Like with any DAW-based system, the Console 1 also has all the advantages of recall and automation of all parameters.

From today, Softube Console 1 will be available from pro audio dealers worldwide. The US list price is $1099, with a probable street price of $999. In Europe, the list price will be €849, probable street price €799 (including 19% sales tax).
