Editors Keys launch SL600 MK2 USB condenser mic

Striking condenser adds headphone output

Editors Keys have launched the SL600 MK2 USB condenser microphone, the latest release in the company's successful StudioSeries SL microphone range.

The SL600 MK2 sports bold black and orange livery, an all-new headphone output, -10dB switch, low pass filter switch and on board controls for gain and volume output, meaning you shouldn't need to go back and forth to your computer too much whilst recording.

The main focus of the new SL600 for the company is to allow users to record "broadcast grade" recordings directly through their Mac or PC’s USB port. The new microphone's headphone output allows users to monitor their audio directly through the microphone with zero latency — an update to the SL microphone range.

Customers will be pleased to learn that the SL600 comes with a lifetime warranty and also comes packaged with a heavy-duty foam-lined carry case, a USB cable and new premium designed shockmount.

“We wanted to create a microphone with a bold, stand out colour scheme which also matches the StudioSeries branding. In addition to its great new look, the microphone sounds utterly fantastic too. You’ll really want to give this microphone a good go whenever you get the chance.” Says Mark Brown, Company Director at Editors Keys.com

The SL600, which goes on sale on the 25th September, will retail at £149.99 ($249.99 USD) and be available at the following retailers at launch: EditorsKeys.com, Inta-Audio, Music Matter, CVP, Soundbase Megastore, Atlantic Electronics and Juno Records.

Microphone Specs:

  • 34mm Gold plated diaphragm
  • Frequency Response 30Khz-18Khz
  • Max.Input SPL:130dB (at 1kHz 1% T.H.D)
  • 16Bit.
