iZotope launch VocalSynth

New multi-fx plug-in for shaping & manipulating vocals now available

Creative vocal processing is more popular than ever and iZotope’s new VocalSynth multi-effects plug-in is designed to let you easily produce the complex, interesting and unique vocal effects that have driven numerous hit songs and launched careers.

VocalSynth employs four vocal engines —  Vocoder for creating robotic vocals; Polyvoice for more organic-sounding harmonies; Compuvox for glitchy digital speech; and Talkbox for classic singing synth sounds.

From Daft Punk’s Around the World and Beastie Boys Intergalactic to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Radiohead’s Everything in the Right Place, VocalSynth’s four resynthesis engines — along pitch-correction, distortion, speaker modelling, beat-repeats and stereo delays — should give you plenty of options.

Further features of VocalSynth include the ability to add harmonies, octaves, or unisons in Auto mode, or plug in a MIDI controller to drive VocalSynth with the specific harmony voicings. Also, if you don’t want to start from scratch, you can quickly access preset, classic sounds that are known and loved, as well as distinctive new combinations of all four vocal engines.

VocalSynth is available to download now with an introductory discount of 25% until 16th June, making the price at the time of writing £104.95 / €139.00 / $179.00

We look forward to bringing you a review soon in the pages of SOS.
