Sounds Expo 2006
The Sound On Sound seminars held at this years Sounds Expo show proved incredibly popular.

The change of venue to London's Olympia for this year's show allowed the SOS seminars to be held on a separate level, away from the noise of the main show floor.

This improved listening environment meant that for the first time we could stage practical, live demonstrations of recording and mixing techniques, free to anyone attending the show.

The seminar program included an in-depth examination of the creative possibilities of convolution reverb, presented by Martin Walker, seminars on guitar and vocal recording from Paul White and Hugh Robjohns and a live version of our popular new Mix Rescue column, in which an SOS reader's recording is analysed and remixed.

The SOS seminars on all three days of the show saw every seat taken and, at times, up to a couple of hundred people standing.

We'd like to say a big thank you to all those who came along for their support — we hope you found the seminars valuable and enjoyble.
