The SOS+PM Shop is a service provided by the SOS Publications Group, publishers of SOUND ON SOUND and PERFORMING MUSICIAN newsstand magazines.
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the virtual Shopping Basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept payment by credit and debit card for the types displayed in the store.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
If we do not have an item you require in stock, we will back order it for you and email you, with the option to cancel if you prefer not to wait. This does not apply to 'Limited Edition' items. Once these are sold out we are unable to re-order. Due to the fact that we accept orders via our web site, post, fax and telephone, we can not guarantee stock availability if an item is still shown to be for sale on the web site. However, if any such item is sold out, we will endeavour to remove from our web site as soon as possible within our working day.
For UK and EU customers, all our prices are shown in UK Pounds (£) Sterling and include Value Added Tax ( VAT) at the current rate of 20% for orders made from the UK or the European Union.
For Non-EU, Rest Of World and USA/Canada customers, all our prices are shown in US Dollars ($) and are VAT exempt but may be subject to local import taxes and duties. If so, we accept no liability for such charges.
We guarantee your satisfaction.
If you are not satisfied with the goods supplied, a return will be accepted provided you contact us within 14 days of receipt of your purchase and return the unwanted goods to us within 30 days of purchase.
Goods damaged in transit will be replaced.
In either case, please contact us (phone +44 (0) 1954 789888 or email mailorder@soundonsound.com) before returning any products to us. Please see our returns policy below.
These terms and conditions may be revised at any time and we reserve the right to do so. You are therefore advised to keep up to date with the contents of these terms and conditions. Nothing in these terms and conditions will reduce your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.
If the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing (eg. by email) at our contact address of the problem within 14 working days of the delivery of the goods in question.
If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing at our contact address of the problem within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the goods.
If you notify a problem to us under this condition our only obligation will be, at your option:-
a) to make good any shortage or non-delivery,
b) to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective, or
c) to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way we choose.
Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under paragraph c) above.
You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. The importation or exportation of certain of our goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchased.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
SOS recognises and respects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Under the EC Distance Selling Directive, you have the right to cancel the contract for your purchase within 7 working days of delivery. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract, nor will you have to pay any penalty. You cannot cancel your contract if the goods you have ordered are audio or video recording or computer software, and you have taken these items out of the sealed packages in which they were delivered to you.
