Deluxe personal studio at Battery for producer Lipson

Top producer Steve Lipson, whose past clients include Annie Lennox, Boyzone, Cher, Sting and Ronan Keating, has established a permanent writing and recording facility at London's Battery Studios. Lipson's corner of Battery was redesigned by Munro Associates and is equipped with a Euphonix CS3000, a large Pro Tools system, a Fairlight MFX3 Plus, analogue tape machines and a wide range of outboard gear.

Battery's Studio One was chosen as Lipson's future creative home, but needed extensive re-working, part of which involved transforming the existing live room into a new, bigger control room. Steve Lipson chose Munro to do the work partly because he already owned a pair of Dynaudio Acoustics M4 monitors, whose original design was conceived by Andy Munro. Lipson's suite is still furnished with stereo M4 monitoring, but has also been "future-proofed" by its full 5.1 surround sound compatibility.
