With even a basic hardware MIDI controller, Quick Controls make writing automation in Cubase much more convenient.
This selection of Track Presets illustrates some of the things that can be done with Quick Controls when used with audio or MIDI tracks although do note the comments in the main text of the article that discuss the bug with Track Presets for MIDI tracks, and which seem to be a problem for some PC users!
QC Vocal with EQ and DaTube
A basic vocal track preset with volume, pan, send 1 and 2 levels, one band of parametric EQ (gain, frequency and Q) and DaTube drive level available as Quick Controls.
QC Vocal with Comp and Pitch
A vocal track preset with volume, pan, compressor threshold, ratio and make-up gain and pitch correct speed and tolerance (assumes Cubase 5 Pitch Correct plug-in) available as Quick Controls.
QC Funky Guitar with EnvShaper and WahWah
A guitar track preset for use with funky rhythm guitar with volume, pan, Envelope Shaper attack, length and release and WahWah pedal available as Quick Controls.
QC Drum Kit with Multiband Compressor
A track preset suitable for a drum mix (for example, with a drum loop) where all four bands of the Multiband Compressor have the threshold and make-up gain under Quick Controls great for tweaking the overall tonal balance of your drum sound.
QC Bass Guitar with Compression EQ and DaTube
A track preset suitable for electric bass guitar with volume, pan, Compressor threshold and make-up gain, one band of parametric EQ (gain, frequency and Q) and DaTube drive level available as Quick Controls.
QC Prologue
A track preset for use with Prologue with volume, pan and key filter, distortion and delay parameters under Quick Control.
QC Monologue
A track preset for use with Monologue with volume and key filter, overdrive and delay parameters under Quick Control.
QC Mystic
A track preset for use with Mystic with volume and key impulse and overdrive parameters under Quick Control.
QC Spector
A track preset for use with Spector with volume, pan and key spectrum, overdrive and delay parameters under Quick Control.  0
