I realized that I "sort of" finished the construction in my basement, and never took any final pictures, so I went down this morning and snapped a few for this thread.

Please excuse the blurry pictures, I am obviously the world's worst photographer, and have a lousy camera!

I got an email asking me what was under the Marshall Head cover. I guess I should have pulled it off before snapping the picture.

The head is a JCM800 Slash signature model, same head as the Jubilee...

The 2 Marshall combos are a DSL and a TSL.

It is a retractable model! I only lower it when necessary!

I still don't know how to post photos on the forums. Anyway, you can see my studio at my web page. I can say at this point, I have all the hardware gear, and software plug in EQ's and compressors I need. Just thinking about buying Kontakt 3 and very good piano samples. Garritan Steinway is in the lead with Ivory Piano in second, but that is for another thread.

Wow, thanks! Maybe those acoustics classes weren't a waste after all...

@Doublehelix: What is still left to do? Been following your build for some time and it looks pretty finished to me.

There are always a few loose ends that always seem to get put off until "later", but it is fully functional, so I guess I could call it "done" or close enough.

Yes, only the one wall of Marshall's...... for now ;-) The pics were taken at different times during different recordings.
Just had a good session today with Bob Catley singing vocals for the next Avantasia album he is singing on. Hope they like it, not heard back from them yet
Thanks for looking.
All the very best.
Vinny.

JamesSimpson wrote:I agree with steve, I think the one thing your lacking in your studio vinny is guitar amps, have you not got anymore?

I have (pretty much) most sounds covered as the Boogie Mk3 does good Fendery cleans as well as the super high gain LA stuff. The Soldano is fantastic as are the 1968 Marshall 50w Plexi and the 78 Marshall 2203. The little 6 watt valve head sounds great too through it's 4x12.
I did have an AC30 CC2X but it was never used enough to justify keeping. I do miss it though. Still want a few more old Marshall heads before they get too silly in price.
It's nice to have somewhere to be able to crank these and record them properly.
Cheers for looking.
All the very best.
Vinny.

Like you said, "It is all yours"!!! That is what is really important... er... well... along with air conditioning, but that is another story! ;)

Good golly man, you have to have air conditioning! How do you survive? Haha! You are a better man than I, I would never make it...

Nice Jumbo Ronan! I am currently in the market for one, and that one looks pretty sweet!

OH! Almost forgot! Nice place too! ;) I got so overcome by the Jumbo that I forgot about the rooms!

Alex

I've noticed you've asked the odd question in Studio Design and Acoustics forum.
If this is the case I suggest posting a thread with ongoing pics of your studio development.
It will be both interesting for members and you can ask rrelevant build questions as you progress with the studio construction.
