Single pole footswitch question

Postby Commander » Tue Jan 29, 2008 8:14 pm

Hi there.

I don't come in here very often so go easy!

In the manual for my Klein + Hummel 0800 subwoofer it says:

Bypass Remote
With a standard on/off single-pole footswitch connected to this jack, you can operate the bypass function remotely.

Am I right in thinking that I could cut the footswitch off and fit an on/off switch instead? I'm thinking that a simple on/off switch would work better for me as I could install it in a nifty place on my console.

If I am right, is there any type of switch I need to get or will any on/off toggle switch work?

Many thanks!

Any toggle switch should work for that from the sounds of it.

Any simple toggle will do the job. When the two wires are shorted by the switch the Sub is bypassed, and when open circuit it is working normally.
