Right-angled XLR adaptors?

Postby Wurlitzer » Tue May 06, 2008 9:19 am

Is it possible to buy adaptors to plug in XLR cables at a right-angle, like you can with jacks? I've had a look around and don't seem to be able to find them anywhere.

I've seen the connectors themselves advertised separately, which makes me think it must be possible, but I'm not a DIY soldering type and just want something simple that I can plug my pre-existing leads into.

Forgot when measuring up that the Yamaha mixer I am using has its connections on the back rather than the top. Duh!

Neutrik.

Personally I would do short adaptor leads - rt.angled plug to normal socket - to avoid having a big "lump".

Rt.angled connectors are HERE.

I hope this helps.

Can you buy short right-angled pre-made leads then?

I don't want to have to bother making them up myself.

No problem - Canford Audio will make them up for you.

They have a cable-making service - choose your connectors, choose your cable and length - and they'll make them up for you as specials.

That's where I go when I'm lazy. ;)

Agree with John about wiring up little adapters. Out of interest, though, are there any one piece hardware adapters?
