A bit more info would be handy: what DAW are you using and are you bouncing using the DAW, what bit res and sample rates are you working with etc?

Using ableton live 7

Using 48000 sample reate.

Not sure on bit res, what should the settings be on.

Should i be losing some quality because its not an expensive card?

No.

When you export what settings are you using:
48kHz, stereo interleaved, PCM?

And what are you playing back on (because I have a feeling it could be a sample rate playback issue)?

recording 48khz, Not sure bit rate not at home.

playing it back on windows media player.

What are the typical settings i would need fella?
