Any good budget compressor recommendations?

Postby Jelnet » Wed May 07, 2008 1:38 pm

Hi folks

I'm looking at upgrading my Alesis 3630 compressor for something a bit more pro sounding. Mostly it's for accoustic guitar/vocals and maybe some mix bus compression duties.

I'm looking at around max £500 budget.

A couple of choices I've come up with so far are:

TC Electronic C300

and

Drawmer MX30

Any comments/opinions on these or any other recommendations greatly appreciated!

Thanks...

Hi Jelnet

For that money you could get a second hand TL C1, the FMR RNC, DAV BG6,sec hand Drawmer 1960 or 1968, Purple Audio Action FET, Ridge Farm Boiler, Summit TLA 50A, UA LA 3A (if you are bloody lucky and the seller has been in a cave for a while.....
