Using delay to make tracks larger

Postby sccrew » Thu May 08, 2008 11:44 pm

I am mixing a metal album I recorded with the state of the art material and I got four electric guitars track (two player and two dubs) but it seems that when I try to obtain the same largeness as I hear in commercial cd like megadeath and metallica I am not able to set the delay of the four track to make them really larger. I know this has to be 3-4 delays patched but I just can't figure out how to use them to make your guitar really large and I think that there is a trick with the bass track and a delay to make the whole thing larger , I hope someone will be able to help me with this maze.
