Behringer MS8000 mic splitter

Does anyone have any experience of this ludicrously cheap 8-channel mic splitter with isolated outs? Too good to be true?

Can’t comment on the Behringer but the ART S8 represents excellent value and I’ve never had issues with it.

Likewise: no personal experience of the Behringer, although I'd be dubious of the quality and capability of that transformers at that price, and I've read several reports of altered levels and frequency responses which don't inspire confidence for such a quality-critical front-end device.

On the other hand, I have used (and measured) the ART S8 and found it to be pretty good. There's also the Orchid mic splitter: http://orchid-electronics.co.uk/micsplit.htm both more expensive than the behringer, obviously, but what price quality and longevity?

I have also heard less than scintillating reports of the Behringer...

OTOH I put one of these: https://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_ms8.htm into an install where we wanted to split mic lines for a separate monitor mix and the quality seemed fine for live. Whether it would have been satisfactory for critical recording is another matter. There's a spec-sheet on the page-link above...

Thanks all

I did look at the Orchid, as they are usually my first port of call for these kind of things. Probably a wise move when/if I’ll need one.

That Orchid unit looks good. Particularly so because all the connections are accessed on one side. I scrape my knuckles each time I use the S8 which is mounted in a rack case.
