Their original Classic was a lovely mic. (Or rather 'is'... I still have mine).

I wouldn't - the MKH series are unbeatable in damp and humid conditions and with condensation.

The Røde are mostly AF condensers, other than a couple of clones.

Though if I wanted a gun mic. nowadays I would use the MKH 8060 over theb 416 any day, it's far far superior. :thumbup:

You're right John, the MKH's are bulletproof, they just do the job, every time.
