Well I ordered the SSL Six, which will arrive tomorrow. I plan to use it with my Apogee Quartet.

While I was on a remote island a few years back I had a couple of SSL SuperAnalog Channel Strips and a Russian ribbon mic, and those recordings are still a pleasure to listen to for me. If the Six is as good I will be delighted with it.

The only excuse we have for making music in the first place is to make it differently..vis-a-vis our own difference (Glenn Gould)

So, how is it going with the Apogee Quartet? I have the same system: SSL Six and the Quartet. The way I have it configured I don't use the preamps of the Quartet just the 2 Super analogue mic-pres on the Six. Be interested to hear your thoughts.
